I offer a holistic, person centered approach that combines traditional talk therapy with mind-body interventions. When we understand that mind and body are essentially connected and bring both into the therapy process, healing can take place in every layer of being.
Somatic (body-based) interventions address the connection between the brain and the body and use the knowledge of how our nervous system functions to help heal unresolved emotional issues, chronic stress and trauma that is stored in the body. Bringing the body into the therapy process allows us to tap into our nervous system and find true healing.
My psychotherapy services are provided through a non-profit organization called Dreavita whose mission I deeply believe in. You can contact my Practice Manager at care@dreavita.com (813) 690-5092 or visit the website to schedule a free 15 minute consultation at https://dreavita.com/trina-cornelison-lpc
This is a great option if you already have a therapist you are working with and/or just want to focus on learning about how the autonomic nervous system works and how to have more agency over how you think, feel, and behave. This is typically a 6 session package where you will receive education on the nervous system, engage in a 3-part mapping process to map your own nervous system cues and triggers and are taught how to utilize resources to regulate your nervous system in your daily life.
The 6 session package cost is $510 ($85 per session). Contact me directly for this option
Yoga Nidra, often called yogic sleep, is a deeply restorative guided meditation that supports physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Practiced lying down in a comfortable position, you are gently guided through body awareness, breath, imagery, and intention to access a state between waking and sleeping—where the body rests deeply and the mind remains aware.
This restful state activates the parasympathetic nervous system, supporting stress relief, nervous system regulation, improved sleep, and overall restoration. No movement or prior experience is required. All levels and abilities are welcome—simply come as you are, lie down, and allow yourself to be guided into stillness.
I love collaborating with fellow mental health and wellness professionals to create meaningful retreats, workshops, and events. My 280-square-foot studio space is available for hourly or daily rental and can be used for your offerings as well. If you’re interested in collaborating or hosting an event, I’d love to connect—please reach out below.
